Can you add the park hopper option to your tickets at check-in if you previously purchased advanced tickets without it? Is the cost still the same? We would be adding it to a AAA package.

yes you can add it on. And you would only be paying for the hopper upgrade, even though you have advance purchase tickets. They will not charge you more than the fee for the hopper option.

Too bad you are just thinking of this. I know the park hopper addition went up to $45 from $40 for longer passes. I know this is for 7 days. Not sure what it is for other lengths of stay.

Oh, I knew about it...but I'll be booking a AAA package which didn't come out until the ticket increase anyway. It wouldn't have done me any good to have purchased the tickets before they went up.

Is it true you can add on to your ticket right up until you check in? So presumably at the counter before you turn in your voucher for your tickets? I'm agonizing over whether or not to get the water parks option for september. Its our first time there, we're there for 1 week and I'm not sure if we'll have time to do them. Both of us love Disney. We don't have kids so I think we move through faster, but still....

You can upgrade your tickets even after you have checked in. You have 14 days from the first use of your ticket to add any of the options to it. So if you are there for 7 days and on day 4 you decide you went the Water park add on you can go down and get it no problem. Just remember that if you are adding an option that's price is based on how many days are on the ticket, it will be the price of the original ticket, not how many days are left on the ticket when you do the upgrade :)
