Adding Guest To Linked Reservations

I need to add 2 kids to my linked reservations. The agent said I needed to unlink them, add the kids, then re-link. I have never had linked reservations, and have heard there can be some problems. Anything I need to be aware of before I do this. Travel is not until Spring of 2017, so not a rush. Thanks

I'm sorry, I meant a cast member from member Services.

I would email my request to Member Services using the link on the members' website. Be sure to include all of the details the CM will need to complete your request. There's no hurry so the a CM can do this when it's otherwise not busy. I've found there are a lot less mistakes this way and they can consult a more experienced CM/Supervisor if they have a question on how to accomplish the request.

Plus you will have a written record and they have always echoed back to me what was done via email. It may take several days, but as you say, there is no hurry since you aren't traveling until 2017.

If both are added to the reservation, you just need to go to your MDE account and unlink that reservation, then link it back. The new names should then show up under your family and friends list. Also be sure you don't exceed the capacity limits on the unit.

I often have linked reservation due to 2 UY's and have changed occupants without any issue. There isn't any cancelling and rebooking on the MS end - it's just a modification. In the world of things that you can do to a reservation it's pretty low on the list to worry about IMO. I always call and it takes a little time although nothing extraordinary - I'm usually placed on hold for a couple of minutes - because they have to unlink, enter the names on both reservation and then link them again.
