Adding guest to DVC rental

I've been addicted to the DIS boards since we started planning this trip, and thank everyone for all the information and insight we've gathered. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. My husband are I are taking our 2 year old on his first Disney trip in May (so excited!). We rented points through this board, and everything was going smoothly through the MDE app.

My mother decided to join us and the owner of the DVC added her to the reservation yesterday via the app. I don't see her name in my MDE app though. Does it take time to update? I want to reserve ME for her, but they said she's not showing on the reservation. I don't want to keep bothering the owner if it's just a matter of needing some patience.

You have lots of time to get the DME booked, you only need 4-6 weeks ahead to insure you get the bag tags, if you plan to fly and check bags.

Ok, thank you. The owner has been great, so I'll just give it some time and contact them again before FP+ time if it still hasn't updated.

When you add a person to the DVC reservation, the member has to go on MDE and find their plans. There will be a note that the reservation has changed and they need to “confirm” the addition of a new person. I do this all the time. When I make reservations I only have myself and then add people later.

Or delete the reservation from MDE and re-add it. It may show up with the additional name that way
