Adding friends and family to MDE

A friend will be joining us for the last day of our stay. If I add them to our MDE, will they see the plans for our entire stay or only for the day that we schedule their fastpasses?

Also, they have 4 day tickets. They only want to use 1 ticket. If I add them to our plans, will their 4 days be attached to our plans? We'll be leaving before they will be using their other 3 days. I don't want it to mess up their plans for the other 3 days!

Since they already have some plans of their own, I'm going to assume they already have their OWN MDE Account. Any of their existing plans and tickets will remain linked to THEIR MDE account.

Add them to your Family & Friends list and enter the email address they used to create their MDE account.



After they accept the friend request, if you select 'Update' for their profile, there will be a share option which determines what plans of yours they can see. It can be set to view all plans or only shared plans.

I’ll just add that it doesn’t always work to see shared plans only. Last year I could see all of my mom’s plans for a trip I wasn’t even going on despite us both checking shared plans only multiple times!

Oh gosh! I did it and it's working so far. She can only see the plans we shared. I hope it stays that way because we have 8 days beforehand full of FP and reservations lol. Either way it will be fine. Just less of a hassle to not have all the extra stuff to weed through!
