Has anyone added additional days for Disney to their So Cal City Pass since the recent price increase? Just wondering what you paid to upgrade. We want to add three additional days on to the three days that come with it.

Thank You,
Kari

Not too sure on this if, no one answers by tommorow please send me a PM and I will give them a call. I'll be driving almost right by there headquarters tomorrow, but won't have time to stop in.

The previous amount to be credited to the upgrade was $159.

Does anyone know if I have to take my Southern California city pass card to the turnstile or the ticket booth at Disney? If it is at the ticket booth, can I go the day before I am actually going into the park to exchange it without using one of my days up?

Sorry everyone I didn't notice that there were replies until it was after 5pm and they were closed for the day. I will talk to them tomorrow for sure, I left the phonebook on my desk to remind me.

Unfortunately Citypass does not know what Disney will do in your case. If you hadn't noticed Disney raised prices but Citypass has not. It's possible the credit to an upgrade will still be just $159(citypass had said this would stand for all of 2011 but then Disney increased their prices). Somone will need to try this out and see until we will know for sure if the credit amount has increased.

The ticket booth in any case. It will be upto Disney to activate your ticket on the day you pick it up. Maybe for 1 of the 3 days it's valid for entry, or 1 of the 14 days in the period it's usable.

As far as picking up in advance, it will be case by case, so you should mention you don't want to use the PH until the next day and see if they will not activate the PH until then or just wait until the first day you plan to use it.

FWIW, Citypass is really easy for me to talk on the phone with, and I'm happy to call them. Super nice and friendly customer service. I said my questions may be a little strange. The reply was " Oh well I'll have to transfer you to another department, JK I'm in the off the wall question department."

Thank you so much Skiingfast for calling, I really appreciate it.

I will most likely be the first to try it this weekend on Sunday when I got to DL. Is there anywhere to find out what time the ticket booths open up at on MM days? As long as I can add days to my city pass all will be good. I will post to the board when I find out what the deal is.

Thanks for all of your help.

I'm not positive on this since I've always showed up with tickets in hand, at least since Al Gore invented the internet.

But I'm almost positive when security opens during the summer, the ticket booths are open at the same time. They will have at least one open until the park closes the night before too.

Thanks Skiingfast. I know I have always had a ticket too when going to DL. This citypass thing is a whole new world to me. Hopefully after my trip I will have a lot of useful information to help others like you have helped me. I love that the internet is so useful in people helping each other.

Hello! I've been away and just came across this thread. I'll see if I can get any more specific info from Disney about this and let you all know.
Thanks!

Wanted to know if you can upgrade the 3-day hoppers to annual passports? And if you can what the face value would be on them?

Yes you may, but as I stated above as far as what is currently known the upgrade value of the PHs is $159.

Perhaps cndKari will report back if the upgrade value of the PH's has changed.

Hi All,
For the rest of 2011, the upgrade value for CityPASS will continue to be $186 for ages 10+ and $165 for ages 3-9. This value can be applied towards any ticket of equal or greater value - so yes to annual pass question, DlandAmanda.
Hope this is helpful!

What if you want to add just one day? I wish it was a 4 day park hopper. I feel I need 4 days in DL.

Do you know if you can use the pass at DL for a couple of days and then decide to add the extra day? Or do you have to add the extra day before you start using the pass. DL will be the first place we are going with the pass. TIA :goodvibes

You can upgrade your CityPASS 3-day Park Hopper to a 4-day Park Hopper if you want. Their current 4-day prices are $219 for 10 and up and $201 for ages 3-9, so you'd just pay the different between those prices and the $186/$165 credit you'd get for your CityPASS.

Does anyone know if you have to upgrade the pass before you start using it? Or can you upgrade on the 2nd or 3rd day after you decide if you will need the extra day? TIA:goodvibes

I think you can upgrade at any time, but I'm going to double check that to be sure, and I'll let you know.
