adding dining plan to an AP room discount question

I've read that I can add the dining plan to a AP room only discount, which would change the reservation to a package, which would be fine.

My question is, do all four of us in our family have to buy AP's to change it to a package? I only wanted to get AP's for my husband and I, because I have enough leftover hoppers for my kids to use.

Only one of you needs an AP but it has to be an adult that has the AP.

No, just one, as long as it's an adult AP .

No, we went down in February this year, my son and husband had tickets that we had from 2 years ago and I was the only one that had the AP. I booked the room with the room discount and added the dining plan about a month before our trip.

It would cost about the same for us to do either:

A) 35% off BWI room, dining, one day base for four, and 6 day hoppers for the two kids

or

B) 40% off BWI room, dining, 2 AP's

It makes more sense to have the AP's for a future trip, since we do usually go once a year.
