adding dining plan for renters

I'm new to renting out my DVC points and want to know how you handle adding dining plans to reservations for guests? I see that dining plans can be added by the DVC member but they must be paid in full once added to the reservation. How do you go about collecting payment from renters? Do you pay for it out of your own pocket and get the renter to pay you back?

Have them buy a Disney gift card.

We rented points last year from a DVC member, and we did this as a conference call. The DVC member called to add the dining plan onto our reservation, and my husband was also in on the call and gave our credit card number when payment was requested.

We have renters at WDW right now and they added the DDP. They are good friends of ours though and just gave me the credit card info and I did it for them.

I have only rented through David's Vacation Club, but the renter gave their credit card number to David's then David's gave it to me. When call member services, then shred paper after giving info. to them. I like the idea of gift cards as well, but this is the way we have done it and it works fine.

I've always used Disney Gift cards in the past, but now I'll also take a Paypa payment up front and then pay for it with my credit card . I've an RBC visa in $us so don't have to worry about the exchange.

Confernce call with DVC.. I have done this several times for renters and works great!
