Adding DDP to Existing Reservation

We have a room only reservation for next month. We did the math and want to add the dining plan to our reservation. Is this possible? Has anyone done this before? Thanks!

It can be done, but you have to call to do it. They will change your room only reservation to a ticketless package (that's what you need to ask for), and package rules will then apply. Since it sounds like you're already within the 45 day window, you'll need to pay in full for room and DDP when you make the change.

Yes, but be prepared to call more than once. I changed my room only to a package with tickets and the DDP. First CM told me she couldn't add those things without losing my discount. Um, no, I had a great discount. Thanked her for her help and hung up. Second phone call, new CM, hey, no problem! Got the DDP, the tickets AND kept my RO discount.

So they were able to add the DDP without canceling your existing reservation?

Well, they technically have to change it from a room only to a package, so different deposit and cancellation rules apply, but yes, you keep your discount, your resort, your view...
