Hi! If I buy my tickets - MYW 7 day hoppers from a ticket broker and want to add an 8th day on at the resort, can I do this, or do you have to buy the original ticket from Disney?

Also, what is the most day ticket I can buy and just add no expiration - cause there is no way I'll use them all, but cheaper than buying new tickets in the future?

you don't have to buy the original ticket from disney, you can just buy another day...but i think it's a big jump in cost from 7 to 8 days...you'd probably be better off buying 10 days.

10 days........... check this out, it will help you: http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticketchart.htm

Thanks Bubbas mom! We call Sam, Bubba also, so technically I am also Bubba's Mom as well as Samsma! It looks from the chart though that the 8 day is only about $3 more than the 7.

Make sure you are looking at "hoppers/no expiration". Also, make sure to check ticketmania.com .... that's where I got my tickets....seemed cheaper than Maple Leaf tickets.

My 8 day hopper (that will expire) was $1 cheaper than the 7 day hopper. Thats how I can afford to stay that extra night! :cool1:

I got it through the Mousesavers newsletter link at Ticketmania ($230 for the 1 adult ticket). :Pinkbounc

On a chart, it may look as if you'll only pay $3 more, but in reality, it may be more because Disney knows how much ticketmania paid them for the ticket. And I'm sure ticketmania is not in the business of selling tickets and not making a profit.

In other words, you will have to probably pay the difference between what Ticketmania paid Disney for the ticket and then the amount of the extra day. I'm not sure if that made sense.

Here's an example -- and it is defnitely not the right amount as I don't have the ticket chart in front of me --

You paid ticketmania $100 for a hopper ticket
That same hopper ticket would have cost $110 if you bought it from Disney
You now want to add a single day -- Disney's cost is $113

You would have to pay $13 to increase your hopper one more day -- you would have to pay the $10 difference in ticket price plus the $3 for the extra day.

Hope that is clear and helps. :flower:

I dont think so because Disney doesnt know who you got the tickets from. The pass looks the same from whoever you got it from. So the extra day is $3 regardless who you bought the ticket from.

All tickets look the same but they aren't encoded the same.

Mary is correct in that was the way it was done prior to MYW tickets. Now however, where you bought the MYW ticket is not important because they will allow full gate price credit on wholesale tickets when adding days. The old way, you were penalized and lost the discount you had gotten from the wholesaler. The new way you aren't.
