DD15 is thinking of coming with us when we head down to the OC in mid July. We will be there for a week, it's not a DLR trip, but I know for sure we will be hitting up the resort quite a bit since we're in town.

DH, DD7 and I do the AP thing so we never really think about park hoppers or how many days we're going to be in the parks. So now when I think about which park hopper to buy her, I'm wondering should I buy a 5 or 6 day and take a loss on the potential unused days? Or should I buy a 3 day and if needed, can you "upgrade" a hopper - pay the difference between a 3 day and a 5 day - when you're at the parks? Any advice or recommendations appreciated :goodvibes

It is probably better to buy an E ticket for 5 or 6 days.

If you get a 3 day eticket for $186, but upgrade it you loose the E-ticket savings. So a $256 total, but if you buy it ahead $216. So you are only gambling the $30 to buy the 6day E-ticket(E-ticket price difference of 3 day vs 6day). But Gambling $40 if you upgrade to the 6day hopper(6day cost with upgrade vs 6day E-ticket.

We had no problems upgrading out hoppers in April, we had 3 day hoppers, added a 4th and then a 5th, then upgraded to APs. :) We were charged the difference in the promo price so we did not lose our discount, until we upgraded to the APs of course. :)
