Hi All,

We were given a set of 2-day park hopper tickets for a trip to DL this month. We wanted to go for 3 days and were wondering if we can pay to add a day to the ticket when we get there. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm assuming these were a gift to you? So long as they are not some type of special promotional ticket that says you can't upgrade it, you will be able to upgrade them to 3-day park-hoppers. You will have to pay the difference between the gate cost of a 3-day park-hopper and the price that was paid for the tickets that you received (not necessarily the value of a 2-day park-hopper at the gate). Since they were a gift, I'm not sure if you know that value or not?

Thanks for the response. We don't have them yet but I'll look to see if they have a value or "not for resale" indication when we do.

Well, ALL Disneyland tickets are "not for resale", which is why I am hoping you're getting them as a gift! :) The types of tickets that you can't upgrade are things like tickets received for winning a contest or things like that.

As far as the value, it's not usually printed on the ticket itself, just encoded in the bar code.

Yes. The ticket booth CM may ask how you got them. If you say as a gift that's fine.

You will pay the difference in cost of the 3 day and the 2 day you were given. While free to you it may depend on how much the giver paid. So if everything is legit it should be fine.
