What does Kenny the Pirate's app include? Does it just show a location map with meet times or does it update with average wait times and best time to visit similar to Touring Plans app?
It's not a map, more of a list with specific details. Like, it doesn't just say "Pluto, Town Square"....it's as specific as "Town Square Flag Pole." Or Tiana is in "Liberty Sq behind Christmas Shop" so you're not just roaming all over Liberty Square looking for her.
It doesn't list wait times or best tiem to visit, but it does tell you the schedule for characters who are out off and on all day. You can sort the list by the name of the characters or by what land they meet in or by the next time available. I'm looking at the app right now so I can tell you that Mary Poppins is schedule to be in the upper level of the train station from 1:15 to 1:50.
It also gives you show times, which is nice. It lists the rides, but admittedly I haven't played with that area of the app. And it lists dining locations, so you can search for all the snack carts or find a counter service spot near your current location.
It has all that info broken out by each park, so you just pick the park you want to know about and go from there.
It also has options for finding all that stuff during the Halloween and Christmas parties as well as Star Wars Weekends. There's an option for finding character dining info as well as a list of rare characters in case you feel like hunting.
Every time I've used the app, the times have been spot on and I've been able to find the characters I want to see. Even helped a few other guests find character they were looking for. (Overheard people talking in line about where to find someone and was able to look up the info for them.)
Huge fan of this app....well worth the little bit it cost, and that's coming from someone who NEVER pays for apps (since so many are free)! I even love how it takes a second to remind you to have a magical day after you exit the app. LOL
