Adding/Changing guests mid-trip?

This is the 1st time we've encountered this situation, booked 2/11-2/15 (2) studios at SSR. Our registered friends will not be able to stay the duration, only 2/11 w/check out 2/13 so rather than lose the points or do the holding thing we've offered the studio to other friends for the duration of the trip.

Of course I will pay for a room cleean, new towels & sheets etc., question: Do I call MS and tell them now so that these friends will have room keys and a parking pass etc.? It's so close I guess I could wait till I get there and check in. Does anyone have experience with this?

I would tell them now. It will simplify things in the long run. You MIGHT have to pick up all keys at the original check in, but I would think you could change that as well. We have added and deleted people mid trip several times, and every time I told MS about it right away when I made the reservation. When we checked in AKV gave us all keys right away, but OKW saved them until the new people arrived.

Chuck, the DDP doesn't work for us so, one less thing to worry about! I guess my next step is calling MS, thank you all for the help!

For a studio at SSR, if one is available, I would cancel and then book a new room. You have a room to hang around in until the room for the newcomers is available. Heck, there may be something ready when they get there, and you don't have a fee for the cleaning.
