Hello,

I am planning a wedding for this Fall and have been looking for a wedding dress. I have found a wedding dress that is perfect except it doesn't have any sparkle whatsoever. Everything else about the dress, I love, but I need sparkle on it. I have been contacting seamstresses but can't get approximate prices to add the sparkle I want. When I was looking for other people online that had this issue, I found a Hot-Fix Rhinestone applicator and a tutorial video on it. It looks very simple and it isn't expensive, even the Swarovski Rhinestones! My sister (Kstarfish82) is very crafty and would be the one to apply the rhinestones. Oh, and the dress is white satin. Has anyone ever had any experience with the applicator and these rhinestones??? Any reviews/comments or suggestions on how to get sparkle on this dress would be great!!

TIA :thumbsup2

Yes! It's wonderful! I worked in a theatrical costume shop where we had a slight obsession with it and were giddy about any chance we got to sparkle something. Everything from dance costumes of all fabrics and stretchiness, to men's vests, women's gowns, and just about anything else we could find. Definitely go with the Swarovski crystals. My tips are to make sure they are well heated or they won't stick for long (but not too hot or it will smell terrible). Lay them out on a ironing board crystal side up before starting to make work faster. And don't go too large on size, a multitude of small crystals can have more shimmer than the same space filled by larger ones.
