Adding another guest to reservation

Hello, I was able to score reservations for BOG for Dinner (for 4), however, a friend of mine just informed me that she is going to join us at MK that day. However, as you all are quite aware, it's hard to get a reservation at BOG...so if I just keep it at the 4 and show up the day and say we have 5, will they accommodate or are we S.O.L. (unless a reservation opens up)?

There's no way to know until you get there. They could very well turn the one extra person away. You'll be faced with the choice of abandoning the reservation (and paying the $40 no-show fee), or leaving one person out.

That said, BOG at dinner is constrained by the ability of the kitchen to keep up, not the number of tables and chairs in the restaurant. So, there will be empty seats.

I would call Disney and see if they can add one more to the reservation.

2 years ago I was added onto a trip with my boyfriend's family maybe a month before we left. They called and were able to add me to all the reservations except for one. It ended up working out for that one, but it was nice to know ahead of time that I was actually on the reservation for all the others.

They may not be able to add her but it's always worth trying.

Call and see if they can add another person to your ADR. If they can't, keep checking. Showing up with an extra should be your last resort. And as supersnoop pointed out, there is some risks with doing that.

Call and see if you can add the extra guest. This happened to us on our last trip in March. After we booked our trip and made all of our ADRs, my mom mentioned she wished she had planned to go with us. I called & they were able to add her to every ADR we had booked (which was MANY because we always get the DDDP)
