Adding an extra days ticket to our package...

Okay, so we are going to be arriving a day earlier than we planned when we originally booked our package. So, we are wanting to add an extra days ticket to our package.

I am using a travel agent to handle everything. So, I asked her if we could add an extra days ticket to our package. She said that it is possible.

However, since I have gift cards, I would like to use those to pay for the extra day. She told me that it would be the same as if I bought it at the park. So, is that the full price of the regular days ticket?

She said that she wasn't sure if I could use the gift cards or not. Can we add an additional day once we checkin at the hotel and pay for it using the gift cards then?

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I am just wanting to get some idea of whether this is possible or not.

TIA.....

Yes, you can add another day on to your tickets. No, it will not be the full cost of a one-day ticket, it will be the cost of an additional day (and that cost depends on how many days you already have on your ticket). How many days do you have now?

Once you check in and get your tickets, I believe you can either add a day then at the resort - if not, you can do so at the parks. You will be able to use your gift card at that time, as long as it is a Disney gift card and not a Disney Store gift card.

We have tickets for 6 days right now. So, I want to add a 7th day onto the tickets.

Thanks for the link! I wasn't sure where to ask and I looked through that thread but everything started looking the same after awhile. LOL!

Ok! Well it looks like that will be about $10 a ticket; for now, your travel agent owns your reservation, so there are some restrictions as to what you can do. But once you have those tickets in hand, you can do whatever you'd like with them - and you'll be able to use your gift card to do it.

Thanks!! I just wanted to be sure that I can add days to it once we get to the hotel. We know that we want to add a day, but since we are arriving a day early we want to spend an extra day in the parks.

I hope someone else will join in here and confirm doing the upgrade at the resort. Even if you can't, Guest Relations at any park will do that for you. Just ask when you check in and they'll let you know where the best place is!

1. Do not have the TA change the tickets. Upgrade them after they are first used.

2. If you have a package, you can pick up your tickets up to three days prior to the package start.

Thanks Cheshire Figment!

If I'm understanding it correctly I can upgrade the tickets once we get to the parks. After we use them for the first time. We won't be able to pick the tickets early as we are arriving at Disney on the same day that our package starts.

I'm just glad to know that it is possible and that I can use the Disney Gift Cards to pay for them.

Thanks for the helpful information!! It's really appreciated!!
