We are here now and want to add on an extra day. We have already used tickets. Where can I add a day? We bought them from UT. Can I do it through the app? The resort?

You can still do it if you haven't used the last day off the ticket already.

Will they bridge? Who knows! Should they bridge? Yes. Make sure you know exactly how much you should be paying before you walk in and ask for someone else or go to another guest services if any issues. You can find countless threads here on bridging.

I would definitely do this IN A PARK at Guest Relations - or at DS. In my experience - that's where you have the most experienced CM doing these operations. So - just add the day before leaving the park one day.

Ticketing CMs perform price bridging upgrades every day. Go to GR if you want, they can absolutely do it, but we're no more likely to mess it up than they are, and they have longer lines virtually all the time.

Pro tip: Start the conversation with something like "I want to add a day to my tickets, but I bought them from Undercover Tourist on the internet." It tells us right off the bat that we aren't doing a one-step upgrade.

Explanation: When we read your ticket, it says something like "3D 1P" or "5D PH" (or whatever) - if it was bought from a third party, we see something like "IA" or "LR" at the end. (Or if they're package tickets, we see "TC.") These codes tell us that they aren't gate-price tickets and should be processed through Quick Upgrade to bring to gate price before we make other modifications. But, many CMs hear "add a day" and go directly to the straight Upgrade function, which doesn't do the price bridging. Most of us will catch the letter code and/or the odd price difference and correct ourselves, but if you get a newer person who hasn't memorized the codes and/or prices yet, they might not realize. (It took me about 3 months in the job before I had all this stuff committed to memory.)

I also suggest using a guest relations at the park to make this change, the resorts are a little limited depending on what your original ticket is but the park guest relations can do a lot more and much more training on how to do it.

The person we spoke to at AKL lobby said she worked in ticketing at DHS prior and could do it if we brought all of our bands. She scanned mine and couldn't tell because she said I had another active 5 day on my account from a previous trip. She was able to scan my dd's and said it told her the correct one and if we brought all the bands to her she could but nobody else would probably know how and to just come to her.

We want to upgrade our 5 day to 6 day, so this should be roughly $10 per ticket, right?

You should be looking at $10.65 per ticket.

(Also, I worked DHS ticketing before I got transferred, so I'm wondering if I know the person you talked to, lol.)

Question - to get the $10 option to add a day - do you need to have started with a certain number of days? For example, if we want to upgrade a one or two day ticket - how much would it be to add days? I'd kind of like to do just a resort vacation, but I think we may change our minds once there. Want to get an idea of what my options would be.

Going from a 1 day to a 2 day is still pretty pricey - the upgrade is $101.17 if you had a non-MK 1-day or $92.65 if you had a MK 1-day. (Since the MK ticket costs more to start with.)
Going from 2 to 3 days is a little less - $88.40.
Going from 3 to 4 is even less - $31.95.
Going from 4 to 5 is $10.65, and that's the rate for each additional day from then on up.

(Edited to note: All these numbers should be inclusive of tax if I did my math right.)

We are coming to WDW for the Summit Cheer competition and our package includes 4 day park hopper tickets. We are probably going to add 1 or 2 days. Would it be best to add the days after we use the first day at MK or before we use them at all? Also how much do you think it will be to add a day, $10.65 as referenced above to go from 4 to 5 day?

1. Upgrade them after you've used them at least once - that bridges the price up to gate price. (Tickets that are part of a package are technically discounted.)

2. It'll be $10.65 per ticket per day.

You'll want to verify that your tickets are regular MYW tickets. Often tickets sold through the sports division cannot be upgraded.

This. I know the tickets we get for band trips cannot be upgraded or changed in any way.
