Adding a person to dining reservation ?s

We have someone who is adding on to our trip.
I have changed most of our reservations with no issues.
I just called, but there is a super long wait.

For a 7 person reservation, is it hard to add an eighth? It is Tusker House breakfast, if that matters.
For BOG breakfast, I can't get another person added on. I tried breaking it up, but one reservation is at 8 and the other at 8:20. I can't get the same times. Will we be able to arrive together?
And last, Garden Grill I could only split it into 4 and 4. 8:15 am and 8:30. We are ok splitting up, but to be honest, we were hoping for a quick line at Soarin' Are these times still ok for a fairly short wait?

Just keep trying all the way up to the minutes before you check in at the podium.

For Tusker, they may say an 8th is fine and they may say "sorry, we're at capacity and can't accommodate."
For BoG, you'll all be let into MK around 7:45 and should be allowed into the restaurant together at 8:00.
For Garden Grill, I don't know. Again, you'll all be let into EP before 8:00, so check in at the podium together as soon as you arrive and ask if you can be seated together.

Thanks. I did just call back. Tusker House wasn't easy because they go by "chairs and not table tops" (I would think adding one to an odd is easy because tables are in twos, but I guess not). But I got a slightly different time.
I may just keep checking back for BOG for piece of mind, but will keep it where it is.
Garden Grill is a fave, so I will keep those. If I can find a different time, swell, and if not, we will enjoy and hope for a short line.

Be Our Guest and Garden grill are both pre park open. You will be able to go in together for both of them. BOG you seat yourself (most of the time) and will be able to sit together. Garden Grill I am not sure. I know you can go in together but don’t know their table sizes. I only sat at 4 person booth when I went and didn’t look at other tables. Worst case scenario you will be sat at 2 tables for 4 probably near each other. In either case you will be able to get out and to soarin. Just go into the park at 7:45 and they pretty much sit first come first serve.

I was in a similar situation when my son’s girlfriend joined us at the last minute - making us a party of 5 instead of 4. I was not able to get new reservations in most cases, so I just politely told the CM (when we checked in) that we had one extra person unexpectedly and asked if they could accommodate us. They did every time with no problem - even at BOG.

We had to split into 4 and 4 at Garden Grill as well. When we checked in we asked if it was possible to sit together and they were able to accommodate us. Obviously this is never a given, but just wanted to note that they do have tables that can hold 8 people so it's not out of the question. For BOG this was no problem at all. Our reservations were 15 min apart and we were able to walk in together and we sat ourselves so we were able to sit together.
