We have an upcoming quick Thu-Mon trip for end of September at BCV and decided to add an extra night at the beginning of the trip (so Wed night) due to flight prices. BCV are booked solid for that night and we are out of points so we are looking at a cash reservation for the first time in several years.

Flight gets in 6pm Wednesday. Plans are to go to Moonlight Magic at DHS (we were able to get a reservation already) and sleep in a tad next day, then head to BCV to check in and EP for Food and Wine.

Currently, we have POFQ booked for Wednesday night. We won't be in the room much. Just need a decent place to sleep before heading to BCV in the AM. $216 total. Never stayed at POFQ and heard great things!

We could downgrade to AOA $140 total. I like this option because it saves the most money and we won't be really spending much time at the resort.

Or we could upgrade to BC garden view room $395. This is attractive because its convenient for DHS Wednesday night, and while we will have to switch rooms- its not as tedious as switching resorts. Plus, we've never stayed at BC so it would be neat to compare the BC and BCV rooms.

Traveling with us are our DS(12) and DD(9) if that matters.

HELP! What would you do?

Personally, I would stay at AOA to save the most money since you won’t be at the hotel much. The only concern for me would be the 2 double beds instead of 2 queens. It might be a little tight bed wise. Its a hard decision to make but I hope you’re happy whichever way you end up leaning! Happy travels!

I don't know if you will lose your Moonlight Magic reservation if you cancel one resort booking to stay at another. I think I read somewhere that if a room is canceled, then you lose your MM reservation. I would definitely check with Disney before you make any room reservation change.

I wouldn't do anything to rock the boat, so to speak, regarding going to Moonlight Magic that night, so I would keep your current reservation.
