Adding a new person to your reservation

We have reservations for Cinderella's royal table and Ohana in Sept 2012 for a party of 4. We have chosen to bring our babysitter but disney will not allow me to add her to our current dining reservations. Is there any chance we could ask the CM at the check in counter and get her added on? We already have a reservation, I didn't realize modifying it would be so hard.

Have you tried calling? Sometimes they're able to do it over the phone. Alternatively, keep checking the system for a new reservation and rebook.

There's a chance it'll be fine at the podium (and probably a decent chance at that), but there's also a chance she could be turned away. ADR counts are more than just about table-size and such, as there's fire codes and max occupancy to take into account.

Yes, I tried calling twice. They pretty much told me that I would have to cancel our reservation for the 4 of us and call every day to see if I could get another reservation. We don't want to leave someone out so I just cancelled our res at CRT and I'm going to try and add her on at the podium at Ohanas and hope for the best I guess.

You might want to go on line multiple times a day and see if something comes up for 5 people at 'Ohana. Going from 4 to 5 you'll need a larger table and considering how popular 'Ohana is, a larger table might not be available. 'Ohana also has the credit card guarantee policy so you won't be able to walk away without paying the $10 per person penalty if you decide not to eat there if the fifth person can't be accomodated.
