Hello cruise friends,

So we are booked for an Alaskan cruise for September 2018. We booked with Costco for a party of 3. Now our 15 year old niece decided that she wants to go too. How do we get her booked with us? I am sure i can just call them and add, but wanted any tips and tricks to make the process easier for the people that have done it.
Thanks in advance for the help!

When adding a person to an already existing reservation DCL asks 3 questions:
1) is there space in the room for another person? (Can't put 4 people in a 3 person room).
2) Is there space in the lifeboat for another person? (It's possible for a lifeboat to be filled, even if there's an available bed in a specific room).
3) Is there space in the appropriate kid's club? (if applicable).

If the answer to any of those questions is "no", then you can't add that person.

It may be possible to add the person, by changing rooms, if the "no" is to number 2.

I'll also point out that the new passenger will be paying the current price for that person, not the price they would have been charged had they been on the reservation when originally made.

Call DCL to see if you can add her. Or your TA would have to make the call, if you used one.

Not much more to add except do it asap. I have had this situation and it was very frustrating. Now I know, when in doubt book everyone and make final decision at final payment due date if anyone wants to drop. Of course that's not always possible.

Is #3 true when the traveler is 15? At that point the club may or may not be used by the person so do they require space for all teens?

Yes because they can all choose to use them so they need space for all of them.
