Hey guys!
My fiancé and I LOVE WDW and go down to Florida every chance we get to visit. We live in OH, originally from NJ, and we are getting married June 28, 2014. I so so soooo wanted a disney wedding, but my fiancé and I decided it was too far for our families to travel (major bummer). We are having a rustic themed wedding. The ceremony is going to be outside and the reception is going to be inside a refurbished barn (it's so cute!!). I was trying to think of some ideas on how to add some disney touches to the wedding without it being too over the top. Anyone have any ideas?

Congratulations! A rustic themed wedding sounds beautiful! As for discrete Disney touches, we made Kusudama paper flower centerpieces for our reception. We printed out paper in our colors of blue and orange and made small bouquets which we placed into white vases. Our reception was in The Attic at the BoardWalk Resort so I thought they looked really nice with the theme. My mom just sent me a link where a woman used Disney park maps for the paper. You can see it here: http://www.katiedenta.com/2013/01/21/diy-repurposed-walt-disney-world-maps-into-paper-flowers/

Looking back on it, I'm glad we kept to our color scheme, but I really love the subtle Disney touch from the park maps. They might look really cute with your theme, and they wouldn't be very obvious unless you looked at them closely. We gave ours out as favors afterwards, so they pulled double duty for us! :) Maybe this idea could help inspire you?

That's very neat!

We're having an at-home Disney wedding, though it isn't rustic themed, we're having it in a church. Instead of table numbers we are doing Disney movies (or possibly characters/couples...we haven't COMPLETELY decided on that yet). While we're eating we'll be playing the Disney Fairytale Wedding soundtrack (we aren't doing a DJ, just an iPod & speakers). On my fiance and mine's table we're also going to have our Disney Wedding Ears (and we're planning on taking some pictures with them). I'd love to do a big white cake with Cinderella's castle on top, but we might do cupcakes...we haven't decided. :) We still have a little while to go!

We haven't really decided on a complete color scheme yet, but I think we're leaning towards David's Bridal's bluebird and meadow.

I went to a rustic- and-Disney-inspired wedding just a few weeks ago and thought they did a great job of mixing the two. There aren't a lot of shots of the decor in their photographer's preview, but maybe you can subscribe to updates for when they do a full post:

I also have some crummy iPhone pix of a few elements I can post when I get home. :teeth:

My dream was a fairytale wedding but budget also limited me. Here is how I brought Disney into my wedding. We decorated with pumpkins and placed little cute toy mice beside them (Cinderella) My bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the Sleeping Beauty Fanfare, my minister quoted Snow White during my ceremony, "Some Day My Prince Will Come, Some day I'll find true love, and the birds shall sing, and wedding bells will ring someday when my dreams come true" This was how he opened our ceremony. Instead of using the traditional march for our processional we used Fantasmic Music, These are just a few small Disney elements we added to my day.
