Does anybody know if it is possible to add a day onto the DDP? we are at WDW for 4 nithgs, but arrive very early on our fisrt day, and leave late on our last day, so we will be dining at WDW for 5 days. I know the DDP is only for the number of nights, which leaves us a day short on our dining plan. I spoke to somebody at the reservations line, and after about 15 minutes of checking, she told me i couldn't add another day. Does anybody know if that is accurate? Has anybody successfully added an additional day to their DDP?

I have never heard of anyone being able to add an additional day, it is always based on the # of nights.

Something to consider, though. It is a lot of food. We usually get in early on our first day and leave late on the last. Usually, we split a table service meal or 2 and definitely split CS meals once or twice. That way we have credits left for our extra day.

The DDP is part of the package which is based on the number of nghts you are there. It's not like a park pass which you can change the number of days.

Sorry!

You answered your own question, you know that the dining plan is based on the number of nights. period. so yes what you were told was accurate.
Just buy your food out of pocket for that day.

Yep, you are going to have to do that OOP, just make sure you look over the menus and make the OOP restaurant the place where you will spend less money, like do Sci-fi or a Buffet, Go to Hollywood and Vine and get the Fanticmic ticket OOP not a bad price there, not your top restaurant but all you can eat and back door to fantismic. Save the TS credit for places like LeCellier, Kona or where ever you go to a higher price restaurant.

The dining plan expires at midnight the day we check out-- so couldnt I use leftover meals for my day we are leaving?
or did they expire the day before.

You are correct at what you are saying, we have always had several snack credits left so we use them all up on our check out day. You can do the same with TS and CS. This Sept. we went to Boma for breakfast and then went over to the Kringla Bakery in EPCOT to polish off our snacks before heading to the airport.
