Were staying for 2 weeks at POFQ in Oct/Nov. Im thinking of booking a 1 night stay at a deluxe. Would you do this?

Im torn between Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Polynesian. Which would you suggest? Any others you would recomend and why?

Also, what the cheapest place to book a 1 night stay?

I wouldn't do this. I like split stays, but not for just one day. I think you need at least three days to truly get the feel of a resort.

I wouldn't do this either. Too much work for only one night. I would do it for three or four if you can swing it. I did the opposite going to POP for one night and then the rest of my vaca at POLY. I did it so save a few bucks but I think I would rather just spend the extra bucks next time.

the only way I would do it for one night would be if I just wanted to spend the day enjoying the resort. for instance, at the yc/bc to enjoy stormalong bay/the boardwalk area. maybe spend the evening in world showcase, but mostly for spending time at the resort. or at AKL maybe one night at AKL concierge to again spend time at the resort, but also to be eligable for the sunrise safari. otherwise I just don't know if it would be worth the hassle

I say go for it! Sometimes it's nice to just try out a resort, even for one night. As for the three, Animal Kingdom Lodge would probably be the cheapest just because the other two you mentioned are on the monorail line and AKL is farther out. I have stayed at AKL a few times, though, and it is a beautiful resort! With the other two resorts being on the monorail line, have you looked into the Wildnerness Lodge? Wilderness Lodge tends to be one of the cheaper deluxe properties (for for Standard and Woods views) and is in the Magic Kingdom park area (although no monorail, it does have a boat launch to the MK.)

Have fun!

depends on what you want to do while at the deluxe I suppose.

enjoy pool? if going to park for day may not be worth it. AK has long bus rides but wonderful ambiance. POLY and CR are both on monorail so you could also resort hop and look around while staying at a monorail resort
easier.

tell us what you hope to enjoy at deluxe and we can be more helpful!

We love all 3 resorts, but Poly is our favorite. If you're concerned about price, as has been said before, AKL is the way to go, but both the CR and the Poly, their ease of access to the parks and room size are well worth your consideration.

I don’t think it’s worth it for 1 night. But AKL would be the cheapest and the pool is awesome.

Last year we joined DVC and had tons of points to use for the next 47 years at Vacation Club Resorts. With that being said, I wanted to see what it would be like to stay at the non DVC Deluxe resorts on my points. It used lots of my points for just one night, but I wanted to try them out. One night at the beginning of my trip we stayed at the Grand Floridian, at it was amazing! The pool is absolutely breathtaking! At the end of the trip we stayed at the Contemporary in a Magic Kingdom room! By far and away, my very favorite resort stay! It was worth the experience to say I did it and stayed there and I wish I could go back, but being DVC and it now costing $95.00 to book non DVC resorts, chances are pretty slim! Have fun and go for it, you will love whatever you decide on!

For one night....Nah, I wouldn't do it. Too much of a hassle - if it were a couple of nights I would consider it but not for one....

If you want to try a deluxe and can't afford more than a night, I say go for it. We did this once years ago when first married. A week was completely cost prohibitive -- and as I recall it was less than $100 a night but that's another story! We stayed at a local time share and checked into the Poly for our last two nights. It was great.

I'd probably choose the Poly since it's true classic WDW resort -- built when the park was constructed in the 70s. But, AKL would be a close second!

I'd plan to spend the entire day at the resort enjoying it.

Was thinking of adding 1 night to the reservation as ive always wanted to stay at a deluxe, but cannot afford a 14 nights stay there.

Im leaning towards contemporary, as ive always loved the look ofthis resort. Might try and stretch to 2 nights.

Is the theme park view worth it?
