Added night question

We have decided to add another night to our vacation coming up, I booked the same room, view and hotel as we had already booked. My question is do I call member services and have both reservations combined into 1, more importantly will I be able to stay in the same room the entire trip or will for some odd reason have to check out after the 1st night then check back in for the remaining 8. Thanks

I recently completed a two night stay at BLT where I had two separate reservations that MS marked as a 'continuing stay'. I had to check-out and then check-in again. I was assigned the same room for both nights.

If you can get them to combine them into a single reservation, it would be better as you would not need to go thru the check-out/in process.

You could have called member services and extended the first reservation rather than booking it separate. You can't do that online. You may still be able to do that or if there is no availability, ask them to link the reservations.

MS can combine the 2 reservations into 1. It was done for me for an upcoming trip. The CM did have to put me on hold and have a manager assist her, but as soon as I refreshed our account online, I saw the single 7 night reservation was there instead of the 2 separate ones. I would call MS and have this done so that you avoid having to visit the fronk desk to check out/back in.

You could send MS an e-mail from the website. Include both reservation numbers and ask that they be linked.
