Added Day - can we go to parks?

Hi - I added a day to our trip. It is separate from our package because of room preferences. Will I be able to utilize the parks on this day or will we have to wait until the day our true package starts? Same resort. Thanks!!

Package tickets can be activated up to 3 days before your package starts, but it must be done at a guest services window at a park or at Disney Springs.

When you have a separate reservation from your package reservation, but it's at the same Disney resort, you can check with Concierge people about early package ticket pickup. Some CMs know how to do it, others don't. But it would save time to try this first, before doing it at a Park Guest Relations facility. I have read numerous reports lately that package tickets can now be picked up 10 days early instead of the usual three days. I can't vouch for this info, just what was posted here by Disney Resort park-goers.

This is the type of question that make me miss Cheshire Figment and his knowledgeable answers so much.
