Added a night, had to switch to Sports, tell me I'm going to like it!

We had POP reserved but I needed to add a night. The only thing available
was All Star Sports. I hope we like it! I have heard the bad about this resort on here before. So please tell me what you think, good or bad!!

We had to do the same thing (chose Music) because of airfare.

We've stayed at ASSports and the kids loved it.

I just stayed there. It is need of a refurb, but was quiet. I also liked that it was the first resort the buses went to even if they went to the other AllStars. Food court was okay, pool was nice. The icons were really cool to look at.

Same thing here. We were booked at POP (love it there) and had to change to two rooms to allow for more people. ASMu was the only thing available. Also, the only value that we have not tried. I have asked and gotten good responses about ASMu on here previously but read a post just this past week that the rooms that weren't refurbished yet were pretty run down. If I get two run down rooms I will be really sad, however, I keep reminding myself that it is WDW and always magical! My kids keep reminding me of that also!

We have stayed at *** and we really liked it. That was pretty many years ago when the kids were younger and they loved the giant icons and atmosphere. I think you will enjoy it. Once again, it is Disney!

Hi Blue Eyes, I procrastinated about making my ressies for the free dining. I go on today wanting ASMu and now its no longer available. ASsports here we come. We've stayed here too. I actually like it better than all the others because no building seems to be too far. Plus check in is a lot faster than at Pop (not as many rooms) Pop has 920 more rooms than ASsports.

I'll never stay at Pop or ASmo again, they now have more preferred rooms than standard and I just don't think its right or fair. It only be Music or Sports for us and the deluxe when we want to splurge. Hey might see you there. We're arriving 9/6-9/10.

I think I might put my LGMH's on the window, so be on the lookout!! I didn't realize that Sports had that many less rooms than POP! I guess that is a good thing! Also, maybe it's just my imagination, but it seems like less people book Sports. Less DIS'ers anyway!

My gf and I stated at Sports in 2004. It seemed just fine to us (not all that different from POP in 2006), but then again we're the kind of people that just need a roof over our head, with a bed and shower. We don't scrutinize the rooms or anything, so i'm sure there were "quality" issues that some people accustomed to the "finer" things in life would find questionable.

Shoot, we don't even care if we are all the way at the back of a resort...just so long as we're at WDW, in Fl, and on vacation.

BTW - rumor is that Sports is being refurbished June - Nov. You can always hope for a refurb'd room.

If I'm at an All Star - I'm at Sports! The biggest thing, like someone mentioned earlier, is that the bus service is best at Sports. If the bus is stopping at all three, it's the first stop!
