I know it's probably somewhere out there already but if you could explain...

I'd like to add on to my 155 points that I already have but what is more convienent: calling and telling them that I want a Feb use year at the BCV or buy points at any other resort and use year month?

I'm confused on how making reservation would be if you had a different use year month and a different resort. If someone could explain this - that would be great! Thanks!

Mark,

If you purchase through DVC direct, they will keep your UY the same. The problem is that they are focused on selling SSR, so it may be a little difficult to get BCV points right now. You may have to go on a wait list. Having points at 2 resorts will only affect when you can book. If you always want to stay at BCV and are looking to book at 11 months out, then I would suggest keeping with all points at BCV. If you don't make reservations until 7 months out or later, then this won't be an issue. Remember, you can only book in the 7 to 11 month out window with points at your home resort. Another consideration is that SSR is a 50 year contract and BCV expires sooner (2042 rings a bell to me, but someone correct me if I'm wrong). Therefore, your BCV points could be gone, and all you would be left with is your SSR add on. Good luck:cool:

5infam is correct, they will give you the same use year, which would be helpful for your 11-month booking window. A different use year would give you different booking windows on your points.

It is also correct they are focusing on SSR sales. However, from reading recent posts here, DVC has dropped having wait lists for the other DVC resorts. If they have points available they will sell them to you, but again no wait list.

SSR does have the longer end date, which I think is a big plus.::MickeyMo

I have heard that there was no more waitlist, but I have also heard that many people here have their guides checking for them. I would call your guide and see what he/she says. And if you don't like what you hear, push the issue a little bit and see where it gets you.
