I see a few posts about current incentive for low point add on's/ Say 50 points where are they promoting right now and does it come with the 09 points?

I'd like to know too as I'd love to add on 50 points. I contacted my DVC rep last week and she didn't mention any incentives for anything less than 100 points, and even then she only mentioned the discounted price for BLT.

I know a couple of weeks our guide mentioned some changes would occur effective July 15th when buying points. The only thing I remember was that SSR would go from $90 per point to $95 and that AKV would raise on 7/1/10 to $120 before incentives. Don't know the incentives.

I just checked the DVCNews.com website and the Financial Section was not available so it must have an update in process. Perhaps the latest incentives will be posted there later today.

For an add on you can always add on as little as 25 points with Disney. If you finance with them you have to buy more.

If I were you, I call or email my guide and get the information from the horse's mouth. Just ask the prices for the various resorts you are interested and the incentives and what incentive is there for 50 points. You often have to ask about 50 points, sometimes they offer a $5 incentive and other times don't.

Your purchase would come with 2009 UY points if you choose a UY that is still in its 2009 UY.

If you choose a UY that has already entered its 2010 UY, then no. When you add on or buy from Disney, except in rare instances, you are always given current UY points, whatever those are.

So, if you have Feb, Mar, Apr or June UY, and buy today, no 2009 points. If you buy Aug (through July 31st), Sept, Oct, or Dec UY, then yes.

With new purchases, DVC allows members to bank the points, even though you would be beyond the banking deadline.

So, anyone who purchases a contract with say a Sept UY right now, would get the 2009 points and be allowed to bank them into the 2010 UY, even though the banking deadline for a Sept UY is April 30th.

If this was not the case, very few would buy or add on in the last months of a UY.
