We booked FD and need to add a night on the beginning. It’s not available anymore, so I was going to book a night room only. Will we have access to our tickets from our package that doesn’t even start until the next day? We were going to upgrade them to AP’s, but were planning on going to the park that first night.

We have had to do this many times. We used to have to go to Downtown Disney or one of the parks to do it, but when we were there in December we were able to get our tickets activated early by going to the resort where our package stay was. Our package was at POR, and we added two nights to FQ at the beginning of the trip. When we got into town, we stopped first at POR and asked the girl at the reservation counter to activate our tickets, which she did. Worked great.

I just did a chat with an agent on WDW website and she told me I can activate them at guest relations, but I won’t be able to make fast passes until the tickets are activated.:sad2: This is exactly why I come here. Just wow. Then nobody would be able to make FP at 60 days.......

The chat agent was correct. You won't be able to make FP reservations for any days before your package starts until you arrive on site and activate them.

Not exactly. Your issue is that you don't have any ticket entitlements attached to your 1 night Room Only reservation. That is why you can't make any FP+ reservations for this day. For the rest of your reservation that includes ticket entitlements, you will be able to make FP+ reservations at the 60 mark just like other "on site" guests.

No, she specified not at all. I know I won’t be able to make them for the first night. But she said, no not at all. I think she was asking someone else and misinterpreted it.

Oh, yeah that's not right. Just for whatever days before your package starts.

60 day FP+ will open beginning with the first day of your FD package trip. Yes, you can pick up your FD package tickets up early. However, because you are picking them up prematurely, you will need to do same-day FP on any early days.

For that one night.

She was wrong.
