add on wedding

hi all
we are planning to get married at disney 2007 my question is can i get an add on if i am staying at a value resort? the reason being is there will be just me dp and our 2 boys and it's working out at £5400 to stay at a delux resort (a virgin requirement)and then another £1200 for the wedding package with virgin and this is without passes, so i am thinking of booking to stay at pop and then booking the wedding direct with disney can i do this?

if i were you i'd try and book direct with disney. i booked with virgin and they've caused me nothing but trouble, actually cancelling the wedding at one point cos their wedding department doesnt seem to be able to communicate with the invoice department downstairs! but thats just my experience!
you can stay at moderates when doing wedding and holiday through virgin, i'm staying offsite for the first week then moving onsite to port orleans riverside for the wedding week.

when i was on the phone to virgin they told me that you have to have a stay at a delux resort if you were planning on booking a wedding package through them that would be good if i can book a moderate as that would keep costs down a bit i have heard there is a lot to be desired with virgin weddings and altough this may not sound too romantic but i am happy to have just the disney package that is offered and no extras as our wedding there will be just the two of us and our 2 boys and after the ceremony we are planning on going to have a lovely dinner with just the 4 of us i do think i will go direct with disney though if i can just have an add on

Yes, you can stay at a Value resort for an intimate add-on when you book directly through Disney Weddings. DD will be staying at Pop Century. The minimum stay is 4 nights, regardless of which level of resort you stay at. The currant cost for the add-on is $2350 & includes everything that the regular intimate has except hotel room & park tickets. You can often get discounts on the room through AAA, AP passes & sometimes certain codes. Even without a discount, the Value resort would be cheaper than the moderate that comes with the regular Intimate package.
