Hello,

We are thinking of purchasing a 50 point add-on to one of our 150 point contracts. We have an April use year. At what point would we need to purchase these additional points by in order to get an allocation for 2002 (assuming we do another April use year)?

Also, would we be required to get an April use year, or would it just be recommended?

Can we resell the add-on separately or would we have to sell it along with the master contract.

Does anyone know what the current price is for BCV?

Lastly, is anyone else in the position where they have a lot of extra points one year, and instead of banking, they rent the points and then use the proceeds to do an add-on?

If we did rent out points from this year, is it better to rent out an already existing reservation that we have or cancel the reservation and just rent the points? Can you rent banked points?

It really depends. If your planning on using the Magical Beginings, I'd assume before Oct as that's the 100% banking deadline. If you haven't banked other points, you could buy as late as the end of November and still bank all of the 50 points as that would less than 50%. I'm not sure if you could use the 25% window at 2 months out though if you took your current 150 points and then the new 50, that is 25% of the total. Of course if you've banked any others, that changes the scenario. You may want to talk to your guide.

Yes, if you buy from DVC. Besides you want the same use year for an add on even if differnt resorts.

Yes, you can sell either separately. You can even sell the 150 points and keep just the 50.

Does anyone know what the current price is for BCV?

$80 pp with a MB buy back of $5 per point, not worth it. I think the NY people in some cases are still getting the $75 price, I don't know if there were other states with late approval that have had the price extended.

Partly, we used some rentals of DVC and other Timeshares to pay a portion of a new contract.

What you could do is offer both. If you don't rent your reservations, you can always cancel at the right time and bank the points. If you end up renting points, you can always cancel the pending reservation to get the points to use for that rental. Yes you can rent banked or borrowed points.
