Add on Question

Hi -

Well of course, the "I don't have enough points syndrome" has hit me and I haven't even taken my first trip home!!! Anyway, we're thinking of adding on 50 - 75 points and here are my questions.

1. When is VWL projected to sell out? This is where we want to add on.
2. Now, if I do the add on, I would receive points for 2001, here is where things get sticky. I'm in the process of making reservations for 2002, and will be using all of my 2002 and 2003 for this family reunion trip. Now if I get 2001 points, I'd bank them into 2002, can I use these points for that reservation thus freeing up 2002 points(from my original contract) to bank into 2003? Now remember that my reservation would already be made by the time we do the add on, thus all the borrowing would have occurred.

Have I totally confused everyone, because I sure am. Any help you can provide I'd appreciate!!!!

Members have reported being told that they expect VWL to sell out by Oct. As to point preservation, you will be able to do the following:

1. Assume you reserve now using 2002 and 2003 points. Those 2003 points once borrowed can never be sent back to 2003.

2. The new 2001 points you get when you add-on can, assuming you are within banking dates, be banked into your 2002 year and you can use them to replace 2002 points on that reservation (MS can do that for you). As a result, you will then have only 2002 points left over that can then be banked into 2003.
