Add-on prices

Hi all!

I am new to DVC with just having purchased at SSR a few weeks ago. Thanks, by the way, for all the "Welcome Homes" I have received from my first post!

I have been bitten by the bug, I guess, because I am already ready to buy a small add-on. What is the Disney selling price per point for the WDW resorts? At this time, I am not interested in VB or HHI. I have been on 3 different resale sites and know what their prices are and have considered the closing costs. Will Disney let you buy as few as 25 points, or is there a minimum? I see 50 posted here a lot, but I wanted to start small. That 25 points (with borrowing) will get my DM and me a studio at OKW in the cheapest season for 4 nights (32 pts). My DM and I like to visit every year after the Christmas decorations go up, but my DH and DDs don't like to visit that often. I know renting points is an option too, but wanted to check out the price for buying.

The minimum add-on using cash is 25 points, 50 points if using their financing.

Where are you thinking of adding on at? SSR?

The minimum through Disney is 25 pts, 50 pts to finance.

I am really looking to add on at another resort since we already have points at SSR. I like the location of BCV and BWV, the size of the rooms at OKW and the ambiance at VWL. Who knows, some day I may end up with points at all of them!

If you are seriously thinking about an add on I would call your guide immediately. I don't know if there are pts left at any other resorts. There may be enough for a small add on somewhere. I think VWL is completely sold out and you would have to go on a waitlist.

You'll never know until you call your guide.

Also, make sure to ask your guide how you would do an add on since SSR doesn't close until next year. Usually the master contract has to close before you can add on. I'm sure they have thought of this and have something in place for people who are buying SSR.

June UY. I tried to call my guide today but he is out of the office until tomorrow. Its not life or death if I get the add-on points, I'll just try him tomorrow. I was just impatient about the info and knew some of you would know the answers to my questions. No one has answered my question about the cost per point yet.

SSR is $89 a point ($79) with the incentive-I'm sure you know that already.

All of the other resorts are $84 per point and I don't think there are any incentives available still. Usually you can't use incentives on pts that come off the waitlist.

My points came off a waitlist but they were cancelled by someone who was going to buy in so the points were never "used". Usually pts that come through on the waitlist are from Disney exercising their ROFR on contracts.

Will you let us know what your guide says about SSR owners adding on before they have closed on SSR. That might be of great help to other SSR owners looking to add on.
