Add-on-itis!

Ooh we got it bad! Just bought our first contract THIS year (BLT, holla!) and we haven't even take our first trip with our shiny new points and we're already planning on when we might be able to add more points. I'm sure many MANY of you have been stricken with Addonitis, so tell me about it. how many contracts did you add? Same resort or different? How long did it take for you to start adding on?

We have an August UY at BLT and we're already trying to figure out if we would want a second BLT contract (ideally) or if we should think about making our second contract somewhere else? I assume the best thing is to try to keep all the UY the same?

Our first contract is just a little ol' 100pointer, but I'm pretty sure we'd eventually like enough to go more often and to book the occasional 1br instead of a studio.

Many of us share this same problem/disease!

I started off with a 160 point contract at VWL with a August UY that I purchased in January 2013 during a stay at that resort. By July 2013, I added on another 150 point VWL contract with the same UY.

In September 2014, I stayed at BWV during F&W and absolutely loved it! Now, I'm looking at another 150 point contract at BWV with the same UY.

This will allow me to book the occasional 1BR and still have points for a quick trip at another time.

I bought my second contract before my first was out of ROFR. My third contract, six months later, was a spur of the moment purchase when I saw a small contract for a great price that matched my existing use year.

We just closed on a 110 point BLT contract and I'm already thinking about a boardwalk or beach club contract. We will probably only go once a year so that way we can switch back and forth and have 2 years of points to use each time. Would love boardwalk area for food and wine or the flower and garden and use BLT for Christmas or 4th of July visits. The 11 month advantage will come in handy!

I have it, too. We bought our first small contract ( 75 points at BWV) this time last year, and had our first vacation on points at Grand Californian in September. Loved VGC so much we're in the ROFR process of buying a small VGC and larger SSR contract just to have random points. I figure we'll make more frequent trips to DL, but the BWV points will be good for grown up trips for food and wine, and the SSR for hosting larger family gatherings.

HAHAHA my DH thinks Im crazy !!! We are in the process of buying our first DVC contract at VGF right now and I am already thinking of a small add on at the POLY ! He says "youre killing me! Ease me in don't just throw me into the deep end!" He says he is fine with more purchases once we have finished this one but he can't handle all of the crazy plans I have for something that isn't even technically ours yet!

This isnt new though! I usually have two to three trips being planned at one time. It's just how I roll!

I have it, but I don't think I'm going to add on at blt because I can't afford the prices blt is going for. I am debating between AKV and BCV and I also am thinking of going with a diff UY. BLT is dec but we are thinking summer for our add on and using BLT for December trips and/or weekends. The only thing stopping me is my work schedule. I would hate to have these points and not have time to use them. BCV would be a nice add on because it would be nice to stay there for food and wine, assuming we'd be able to go.

BLT was our second purchase and we've now added 2 more.

We are there too, haven't even passed ROFR.

Going to see what happens first then keeping an eye out for a second contract with our use year to purchase by fall if 2016, or get something bigger if Disney picks ours up.

I have different use yr and different resort.

Benefit of having multiple use yr is you can have more waitlist ( two per membership) and use points at the beginning of the use yr so you will have plenty of time for rescheduling in case of any cancellation.

Having different resort as home resort, you can book more then one place 11 months out.
