Add-on info please

Good Morning Everyone,

I have never done an add on before and my current use year is June. If I were to add on through Disney and they have the points available now (VWL) - would I get 09 points to use also as it's already April? I'm pretty much clueless about this process so any info would be appreciated!

most likely - yes. not sure how long the process takes but i would start soon if you want to get the 09 points (assuming they have some in inventory).

Yes you should and when you buy direct the points will be in your account very quickly - probably within 24 hours. They also will allow you to bank them even though you are past the banking deadline if you wish to do so. To do so just call MS after you see the points in your account and explain you just did an add-on and wish to bank.

I agree about calling your guide NOW; you can always choose not to buy but why not see what's 'in stock'? FWIW, I started a VWL add-on March 1st this year and I had the points in my account a few hours after I gave my guide the credit card # for my deposit! It was a small 36 point contract for my August UY and I got full 2009 points but am paying no 2009 dues and only prorated 2010 dues on it (roughly 84% of the normal cost). FYI, the direct price is reported to have gone up around March 3rd; I paid $101 per point, but now I think it's $103 and there aren't any discounts (incentives) available...

We just added on some points at SSR the next to the last day of March. April is our use year. Called MS the last day of March, explained what we had done and they banked the 2009 points to use on our upcoming vacation. Very easy and simple. They did have to get "manager's approval".
