When buying a small add-on contract directly from DVC are you given the option to structure the deed differently from your original contract purchase. For example, husband and wife are joint owners of 200 resale points at AKV and they want to add a 25 point direct contract using a LLC (that consists of other "owners') to purchase? Is this Possible?

No.

An "add-on" has to be for the same UY and titled the same as your master contract.

Otherwise you are purchasing a new master contract (i.e. a new membership).

You could change your current contract then add on or you could go with a new master contract as small as 50 points though there have been a couple of posts of DVD selling 25 a a master. What's best depends on how you'll use them. There are advantages to having them separate and advantages to having them combined though overall for 25-50, combined is usually best.

I'm assuming it also has to be at the same resort?

Just to clarify:

If you add-on at the same resort, you can pool your pts together at the 11 month window.

If you add-on at the a different resort, you can pool your pts together at the 7 month window.

If you buy a new membership, it is more complicated to use the contracts together. You are effectively 2 different owners.

my guide told me 50 was the minimum. I don't particularly want to add my kids on the first contract but wanted to do a small add on so they could continue to receive direct benefits after age 18 and no longer in same household. I ended up purchasing a resale small add on and will now do a 25 direct. It cost me about the same as 50 direct but we ended up with 75 (50 resale and 25 direct) they are excited to get the blue card and there is not much financial commitment. should I die tomorrow they can afford to take over mf's. I was just talking to daughter and surprised to learn a few of her 22 year old friends have already become members as well. I think dvc will be just as popular if not more for the next generation as it was for the first.
