Add on and Developer pt ?

If I add on 125 points at SSR and my use year is Aug, how many developer points will I get? Will I get my 125 for Aug 2007 use year and an additional 250 to use within 12 months? If so, I am calling my elusive guide Bruce Douglas tomorrow - of course it will be a week until I hear from him....if even then.....I still don't know why I can't just purchase from whoever answers the phone!

That looks right. Since you have an Aug UY, you would have been better served to add-on last month. You would have received an additional 125 points for the 2006 UY. Good luck with your guide.

I added 100 points last Friday, August 3rd. I have a September use year and I received 100 points for 2006 use year, 100 points for 2007 use year and an additional 200 developer points. I was able to bank the 2006 points to 2007 and used the 200 developer points to replace an existing ressie in December. I plan to bank the regualr points now available from the Dec. ressie.

Call your guide (or any guide) to be sure, but I do not think the developer points are available for add-ons of fewer than 100 points. They weren't when I added on last month (7/19 to be precise)...had to buy 100 to get the double developer points. But that could have changed, so do call to check.

I have a September UY and I am planning to add-on 110 pts at AKV, is there any benefit to doing it this month as opposed to next (I can't use the double developer points until early August next year so need to wait at least another week to be in the 12 month window).

I have an October UY. If I buy 100 points now, I will receive 100 points for 2006, 100 points for 2007 and 200 developer points.

My guide didn't mention the 2006 points!

I thought I had myself convinced to wait for CRV, but this may be too good to be true

If you wait until September you will not get the 2006 Use Year points.

Be aware that its not a 12 month window. It is a 7 month booking window, but you have 12 months to use the developer points. You Aug 2008 will still work depending on when in Aug, you'll just have to wait for 7 months out to book.

That is how I understand it.

The other half has a fixed weeks vacation starting July 26th 2008 and we would be looking to stay for a two week vacation, so I need to wait a few more days to ensure the developer points don't expire. The 7 month window shouldn't be a problem since I would probably stop at SSR in July and try for AKV for our early December 2008 vacation.

Just to confirm that the double developer points were still available as of yesterday-

I have esentially 2 "use years" since I have a 50pt resale for HH with a Sept. use year and an April at SSR (150pts). I was able to use my Sept. contract to get the double points at SSR. It was too good to pass up...

I got 100 2006 points which they banked for me, 100 2007 points and 200 developer points to use within 12 months. I broke the contract into 2 50 point contracts. I was initially torn between AKV and additional SSR points but decided that this is the best deal right now for me and will save for some points at AKV and hope for a great special in the future

Anyone with a Sept or later use year might benefit from the extra 2006 points with this deal.

Well, my guide Bruce Douglas actually returned my call within a few hours! That amazed me! And my UY is Aug, so I missed out on 2006 points, but I bought two 100 point contracts at SSR and got 400 developer points and 200 points for this use year. Not too shabby, 600 points - but 800 would have been even better, darn it!

So now to decide if I want to use them myself or rent them - hummm $6000 is a lot of money....what to do, what to do. What would you all do?

And we got 2007 points and double developer points. We did not get 2006 points which makes, I assume, is because the AKV purchase agreement just went into effect this year.

We have used 210 of the developer points already for January and will have 6 1/2 more months to make a reservation before next July 31st. Somehow I don't think that will be a problem.
