I was wondering if anyone has added Concierge Level to their room at check in? I know this only applies to the deluxe resorts but I am curious if someone could do this. Thanks KK

You can always ask at check-in; availability will determine if you can upgrade or not. The CM checking you in will be able to advise you. Good luck!

Our last trip to WDW was in June of this year. We had a woods view booked at WL and asked how much more it would be to upgrade to concierge at check-in. It would have cost us an additional $50 plus tax per night. Ultimately, we didn't feel it was worth it for a few snacks and drinks. (we already had made all of our PS ressies ourselves) Also, the view was not guaranteed in concierge.
We were upgraded for free to a courtyard view anyway - so we kept our room as is. We loved it!!!

We did this in October 2003 at the Wilderness Lodge and got it for $50.00 extra per night. I went again over Memorial Day weekend and stayed at the Yacht Club and when we asked it was going to be the rack rate... so it depends on the time of year but it can be done...

We upgraded at the WL back in Oct 03 it was worth it to us for the 50.00 . We had a fridge and they helped to keep it stocked for the little ones . They went out of thier way asking if we needed juice, milk or snakcs for the fridge.
I booked it this time for Sept. I am taking my MIL & FIL and didnt want to risk not getting upgraded at the desk . I didnt even ask when I booked the package how much it was a night cause i didnt want to be sick over it .

This is the first time I've read anything about the CL keeping the in-room fridge stocked. Is this something they usually did or is it more a matter of the CMs working? My DD, who will be 1 month short of 3 during our trip, usually wants something to drink first thing in the morning. At home, I just make sure to put a filled cup in the fridge each night so she can get it before she comes into bed with me... I usually want a little more time in the morning to relax. I hadn't thought about what we'd do at WL during our trip but if we can upgrade to concierge for $50 per night and have a stocked fridge in the room as well as the other perks of CL, I will be very tempted to spend that extra. I can always rationalize it by telling myself I'd already saved $600 off rack rates for the room I had booked so I'd still be saving $200 and getting CL as an added benefit (it's amazing how easily I can rationalize spending more money on our WDW trip :p )

Edited to add: Oh yeah, does the CL room come with a fridge or is that an additional $10+ as in non-CL rooms?

Thanks

would love to do this too... no telling if it will be offered the end of Sept., though...
We've got a 7/4 dreamaker at AKL... sure would be nice...:sunny:

I did it at Wilderness Lodge last May. We had an AP rate of $139.00 for a Woods View. When I inquired about upgrading to Conceirge at check-in the CM called up to Concierge. They charged me $40.00 per day more. So basically, I got Concierge at the Wilderness Lodge for $179.00 per night. I think that is the way to go if you are undecided about Concierge.
Good Luck -
ADP :D

The fridge is included in the room, it is a little wierd that it is under the bathroom sink though

I don't know if it was the just us or everyone on the floor that they helped with the snacks for the little ones.

My nephew was 3 when I took him with my friend and her 7 tr old son and they ate like there was no end in sight .

I can tell you that on nights that we missed the cookies when they put them out in the evening , they put them aside for my nephew. Sometimes they would just be in the room or when we got off the elevator they would hand them to him .

He felt special and I can say that we got our moneys worth in milk and juice alone .
Go and Enjoy !!!!!
I cant wait I will be there again 9-28/10-2 I am asking for the same room . We had great view of the Castle and the Fireworks .
