Add child to free dining resort package?

I hope this is the right board to ask this question. We have reservations for the Poly in September with the free dining and when I made my daughter's reservation her youngest was 2 yrs. old. I forgot he will turn 3 before our trip and really needs a park ticket and added to our resort reservation. Will he still be eligible for the free dining in September? I know they can accomodate 5 in the Poly room, but did I mess them up for the free dining for this child since the promotion if officially over?

I would call now and explain the situation. I think they would be understanding -- you're trying to do the right thing. I remember reading a post some time ago about someone trying to do something similar at check in and it was a big mess.
