We're staying 8 days and don't want the LOS or Unlimited Magic or whatever thay call it, so, after day one can we turn in the 7 Day with 6 days and all plusses left, pay some bucks and get a 'fresh' 7 Day Hopper Plus?

Thanks,
Bill From PA

Bill I'm pretty sure the answer to that is no. Have you looked into the 10 days passes they are discussing over on the Budget Board. You can get a 10 day pass from Themeparkland (I think) in the UK for around $300 including a character breakfast voucher for each member of your party. Paramount International in Florida has the same pass for a little bit more - but you don't have to pay as hefty a shipping charge. They are good for 20 days after you first activate them. We are going for 10 days in August and these are the passes we will be purchasing.

Bill,

Are you really planning to visit the 4 main parks all 8 days? You could always use a couple of your plusses and have a water park / Pleasure Island day. As long as you don't visit one of the 4 theme parks, you won't be using up a "day" from your hopper.

Hey...... I thought you said you were taking 1 day off from the parks this time?? ~;)~

I just wanted to say we came back on 1/13 and used the 10 day world pass w/o any problems! We loved this pass! 10 days of park hopping, 10 days of water parks, 10 days of PI, 10 days of DQ and a free breakfest. Plus they give you 20 days to use the 10 day pass after your first day of use. We bought our from Pauramount Travel and payed a little more than this sale price. Please take note that this 10 day pass that is on sale has an expiration date. The 10 day passes that are NOT on sale do not have an expiration date. The passes we used in Jan did not have an expiration date.

SuzyQue,

You caught me! This time down we're not going to IOA/Universal so I'm looking at what to do with the extra day. An 'Off Day' looked like the thing to do, and that's probably what's going to happen, but I'm looking into all options.

Muffy, Kallison,

The 10 day pass is very tempting even if we'll only use 8 as we're hounds for PI, I could go there every night, and we've never hit a water park. Interesting choices. Thanks to all for your help.

Bill - to answer your original question, if you go to the resort front desk (staying on property) or one of the ticketing windows at the parks you CAN turn in a used pass and "upgrade" to a new one. So, if you purchase the 7 day park hopper plus and use it for one day, you could even go to the tickets windows on your way out of the park that night and replenish to last for another seven days.

Catch!!! You may want to try calling Disney. CRO/the Disney operator (407 827 7700 is the only number I know for this, they will say its Old Key West Resort, but its really the disney operator) and see if they can tell you how much value they will give you for a 7 day park hopper plus pass with one day used.

According the the Disney website a 7 day hopper plus is $319 gate price and $307 advance purchase price. This is really rough math, but if you deduct the value of one day which I'm guessing is about $50. You would be paying $319 then using it one day, trading it in for a value of $269, then paying $319 again. So in all you would be paying $369. (if my numbers are even close to correct.

Good luck with whatever you choose!

Bill -

If you get an answer I would love to know. I was hpinh they do what Disnut said but someone told me that you pay the one day rate to add one day. Obviously a big difference in cost.
