Hello there,
I am still looking for actual items from all the WDW properties. I am in need of Signs, old ride parts, flags, banners. old tickets,etc.. items actually used in the parks. MY entire basement is a "shrine" to WDW for my little ones to enjoy and anything you may have would be great.

What i am NOT looking for.
Souveniers

I have mousesurplus, and others aready in my watch list so please don't mention them. I need your stuff.

well usually its on ebay but keep checking cause stuff pop up there and the quikly dissapear like I remmber some guy bought the front of the old WDW monorail

im not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I came by this, it features at least two new york city disney cast member only items: (both jackets were NEVER sold and only about 20 people in nyc have them, super rare) wouldnt consider them souveinors... more like cast member costumes

just go to ebay and search this:

Disney Pins Broadway Jacket Little Mermaid Lion King MP

Okay maybe i didn't make myself clear, I scour ebay, and craigslist every day looking for items, the point of this message is to find some things that some of the readers might have,. Again i know all the big ebay sellers, and they are gougers on prices. Hopefully some DIS'er has some stuff they are looking to unload.

So youre only looking for stuff if you can get it cheap? I have some stuff, but I am looking for top dollar

Somewhere in my museum I have a sign that I stole from the Great Movie Ride, a red sign that says something like "Door opens on stage, door something scene something something something" (been a long while since I looked at it, don't remember exactly what it says). If I can find it, you might be able to convince me to part with it.

So THATS where the sign went. My son accidentally went through that door one day while looking for the closet where the parade stuff is stored. He just waved at the guests and retreated backstage. I guess that a missing sign would explain why he didn't know that the door opened "on stage". Whoops.

lol.. actually the sign was used in the Great Movie Ride gangster shootout scene I think, on the backstage side of the door where the narrating cast member reappears.

sounds like you want it at the cheapest price possible, and we really dont know if your making a room for your kids or just going to resell it. im sorry but dealrs/sellers on ebay or anywhere for that matter price items at what they think the item is worth there not tying your hand behind your back making you purchase there items. you the buyer/collector has the option to go to the next seller if you dont like the price BUT who are you to say that they are gouging just because you dont like the price, the item my just be worth the price that the seller is asking for and most likely there is someone out there that is willing to pay that price for that certain item. so if that person pays the price the seller was asking for it but you didnt are you saying that that item is not worth the price the person paid for? just because you think someone is overpriced or gouging is just your opinion. lets say i have a Magic Kingdom Guide Map from the 80's and im asking $25 for it but you only want to pay $5 for it but someone comes along and buys it for $25 are you going to say im overpriced just because you wanted it for $5 im sorry but in that situation i would have to say you are cheap and just dont want to pay what the item is worth. and when you say looking for stuff some of these DIS'er want to unload your pretty much saying "want to give away" im sorry but for most Disneyana Items what ever that might be your going to have to pay because you cant just go into walmart or kmart or any kind of store like that and just go buy disneyana, for vintage items you cant go back in time to get them that is why the dealrs price there items like they do because they know you either buy from them or dont buy at all. sorry but just dont like when someone talks about gouging and prices ,most likely its because they dont like the price the seller wants for there items. and like asianway said i have alot of disneyana but I am looking for top dollar! by no means am i going to be giving it away or as you say "Unload it"

Some excellent points. The market for Disney park collectibles can be a tricky game. Once in a great while you can find a seller who doesn't know what they have, like selling items from a deceased family member, and you can get an amazing price. But the majority of the sellers you come across are seasoned veterans in the Disneyana collecting game. They know the value of what they are selling, and price it accordingly. Also, the rarity of an item can drive its price up. For example, I recently paid $85 for a Reedy Creek Emergency Services nametag. You might say, that's insane, but when you really get deep into the collecting scene, it's quite reasonable, considering Reedy Creek nametags are extremely rare and never come on the market. In fact, this was the first I have seen come up in the years I have been collecting. So just be patient, and eventually you'll find what you want.

Mousesurplus is a fantastic site, but wow, the prices are insane. Does anyone have any idea how they acquire the items? Does Disney have surplus auctions on any schedule for instance? Some of these things are a big on the large side to just be an oversight on Disney's part, like the airplane from Animal Kingdom for $6k.

As expected most of you missed the point..

I don't care about the price you want for your items, I care about what you HAVE!. If you HAVE something i might be interested in, I am willing to pay YOUR price.

Now i hope THAT clearifies things.

Also the 2 different names are actually the saME PERSON.
This is my wife's account
