I know a number of us have done estimates of the total number of points at each resort (sold and retained) which have about a /- 5% range depending on the base year used and if leap day is included.

Has anyone ever seen a DVD or DVC published numbers of points for each resort or the base year used to determine original points?

Has anyone ever asked the state timeshare regulators if they have those numbers.

I am also looking for the first year point charts for each resort so I can estimate more accurately given a base year assumption

As you might guess I am a numbers geeks, and want to perfect my reallocation model, both to check what DVC does and so that we can have some "fun" with future "what ifs"

@drusba may have those numbers for other resorts. From a post from last spring ( https://www.disboards.com/threads/m...n-dated-01-19-19.3734585/page-6#post-60275465 ) it was stated that Riviera had a total of 6,739,966 points registered for sale.

According to DVCnews.com, CCV had 3,321,966 to sell. https://dvcnews.com/index.php/dvc-p...7/4180-over-1-million-dvc-points-sold-in-2018

POLY 4,032,720 total points, according to DVC news.com

More resorts listed in this disboards post from 2004 (OKW, BWV, BCV, SSR and BRV which was VWL at the time of the post).

As to total points, what I have gathered over the years comes from other sources, including DVCNews. What I cannot find online is simply one list of all 15 resorts and total points for each and thus I provide that here, with the caveat that I am not sure all of these are exact:

Old Key West: 7,674,852
Vero Beach: 1,616,438
Hilton Head: 1,368,962
Boardwalk: 4,888,837
Boulder Ridge: 1,961,969
Beach Club: 3,027,124
Saratoga Springs: 14,029,319
Animal Kingdom: 7,399,244
Bay Lake: 5,732,762
Aulani: 11,519,025
Grand Californian: 1,136,865
Grand Floridian: 2,520,379
Polynesian: 4,032,720
Copper Creek: 3,321,966
Riviera: 6,739,966

Thanks, yes these are some of the estimates that exist which fall into 2 categories, dues based and calendar based which have never aligned since we do not know how many point DVC has held back for maintenance and we do not know for sure what calendar year was used as the basis an if Feb 29 was taken out if it was a leap year

OKW total points

Maintenance based 7,674,852

1991 calendar based 7,684,839 (original 1992 point chart) Max lock off premium 327,750 (original 1992 point chart)

1991 calendar based 7,664,805 (original 2020 point chart) Max lock off premium 336,030 (original 2020 point chart)

1991 calendar based 7,672,455 (original 2021 point chart) Max lock off premium 300,610 (original 2021 point chart)

Still looking for other DVC resort original point charts

Are there any available numbers on the memberships/contracts at each resort? Or is there a way to estimate based on average point totals?

Yes, DVC publishes member numbers for each resort in the multi-site POS.

Yes, DVC publishes member numbers for each resort in the multi-site POS.

These are the numbers given in the multi-site POS filed in January 2019 for Riviera before Riviera went on sale. That filing states these numbers are ones that existed as of September 30, 2017. Updates might appear in more recent multi-site POSs:

Number of Vacation Homes/Number of Club Members

VGC 48/ 3,357
OKW 531/ 26,570
BWV 383/ 18,274
VB 175/ 4,960
HHI 102/ 4,707
BRV 136/ 7,534
BCV 208/ 10,392
SSR 888/ 48,036
AKV 458/ 27,491
BLT 281/ 19,309
Aulani 467/ 20,479
VGF 100/ 9,760
Poly 380/ 18,646
CCV 184/ 1229

The number of vacation homes counts 2BR lock-offs as one. Though the POS refers to the total as "The Number of Club Members," it is not actually the total number of members. The numbers provided are number of memberships for each resort, meaning, e.g.: (a) it counts husband and wife on the same membership as one, (b) counts someone owning two different resorts as two since that owner is counted for both resorts, and (c) counts someone owning two different use years in the same resort as two since there will be two separate membership numbers.
