What are the fun activities you can do at universal studio with a 1 year old kid?

Both parks have great playgrounds for the little ones with interactive stuff that will keep them happy.

Lots! If it's a young 1, then I'd plan according to what you want to do and use rider swap. And then make sure there's plenty of time for the playgrounds. My youngest was 11 months old on his first trip. If it's an older 1, then there's still plenty to do, but then I'd plan more child-centered. (Hubby and I take turns going to do the rides we want while the other one stays with the kids at that point. But young 1's are more flexible than almost 2's usually).
