I have a stuid question about activities for children 5-10 yrs. All the places I have been camping in the past, has crafts like painting rocks, or games to play, etc. for the kids. Does the fort have things like this? Just curious about what may be available to do with nephew if he has a "meltdown". I will be staying at the fort for the first time Dec 16-23 with DH, 2-DD (10) in-laws, my sister and nephew (5). This is their first trip to the fort as well and have soooo much anxiety about everything. But I'm sure it will all be great, but hauling the campers to florida, and all of that planning has me way stressed. But can't wait at same time. Thanks in advance.

When we were at FW in September, there were scheduled activities everyday in the Meadows pool area. Crafts, archery, organized physical activities like tag and flag football. We were in loop 1500 and there is a tetherball pole on the bus stop end. There's lots of open space to just plain explore. Rent a canoe and explore the canals. Go the the beach and dig in the sand. Take a boat ride to another resort for a soda. Lots of options.
