It's about time that businesses/companies/American public gives back to the American military and their families something for their service!!!

Hi Rae-

Glad you are back!! Hope you had a great time. Unfortunatley this time we probably won't be able to use the military discount even though the DCL CSR told me months ago we could and DCL has record of it. My DH can not leave for quite a while probably not until the holidays (Christmas) so we can not use the discount unless he travels with us which he can't because of work so we are SOL. But I am fighting it because I have a DCL CSR that told me we could use the discount even if he could not travel bc of work and just to bring his orders or documentation and my ID. But I don't think DCL will do the right thing here and stand by what they said. I don't think they realize just bc the war is over not all or most active duty can take leave or travel

I completely understand and remember what you are talking about, Tiff - military is on call 24/7 and that's not just because of a "war" or "conflict" - it's always that way.


Can't begin to count the times we had to cancel plans because we had to go back to work or changed shifts. Just the way it is in the military, so if anyone would give the military something - it's just a tiny way for them to show appreciation to both the service person and their family.

Still, with all considered, I wouldn't change a thing from my active duty days - that sence of pride and accomplishment is worth more than just a fading memory!
