Hi all,
My mother purchased an Annual Pass for me through disneyworld.com with her DVC discount. I am not on the deed for DVC, but I do reside in her household (unless I'm at college). Now, my mom assigned the AP to me through MDE, and I was able to book Fastpass+ and it shows up on MY MDE as my ticket. Now I just received the voucher in the mail to go to the park and 'activate' my Annual Pass. My question is, the DVC member card is in my moms name. I will be arriving to the world 5 days prior to her arrival. Am I going to run into issues activating my Annual Pass? Or will it 'activate' upon tapping my magic band to the mickey head when entering the park? I just don't want to run into any issues.
Thanks!

If she is with you then she will need to show her DVC card, ID and your ID with the same address. If she is not with you, you may have more trouble but will still need a DVC member card, a copy of the members id and your id with the same address. You may still have trouble if the member is not with you and have to pay the difference between the nonDVC and DVC price but with the card, and both ids you should be able to get it activated at a guest services window.

Ok now my next question is my mom is currently road tripping to South Florida with my sister to bring her back to school. They are making a pit stop tomorrow in Disney for one night. If she goes to a ticket window with her ID, DVC member card, but not the exchange certificate (because I just received it in the mail today) will she be able to do something then? Could they look up her confirmation?

Only if she has your id because your id is needed to validate your ticket- hers is just needed for proof of the DVC price. If she has a copy of your ID than they may let her get your ticket activated but if she exchanges it for a ticket now the time on the ticket will start when it is activated.

Can you get a photocopy of her license & her member card to take with you?

This way they can see your address matches hers & they'll have her member number... just a thought.

I understand the frustration but honestly, I'd rather put up with some inconvenience in proving you are, in fact, eligible for the dscount than see the perk go away because of people abusing the system. JM2c
