Activating Florida Resident Annual Pass (parking?)

I may buy an annual pass, but not activate it until January. I'm thinking of going one day earlier than planned (alone) and staying off site for the first night. Then driving over to MK first thing in the morning to activate my AP. How do I manage the parking- show the voucher to the parking attendant?

Also, I thought undercover tourist had discounted APs, but don't see them now. Is there a place to get discounted APs for Florida residents? I know I saw them, and they were about $75 less for the Gold pass. But I can't find them today!

Sam's Club had some discounted tickets but I don't see any APs. You can ugrade tickets into APs, so there could be some small savings in doing that.

I brought my paid parking ticket to the ticket window when I purchased my pass. The CM deducted it from the cost.

I only see four day park hoppers for FL residents on UT. That would mean I wouldn't be able to make my FP+ selections for more than four days. They only sell three and four day PH passes. Buying a three and four day PH pass is the same as a non-Florida resident five day pass, so I'm back to the beginning I think. Maybe I should buy the AP from Disney, but I know I saw them somewhere at a discounted rate!

No reason that you would need to buy "Florida Resident" tickets.

You would just want to buy ANY discounted ticket which had a "Disney price" the same or less than the cost of the AP to which you want to upgrade.

IF (for example) your savings was $30 buying the regular ticket, when you upgraded it to AP, you would still be saving the $30 on the cost of the AP.

AAA South (the auto club in FL) has offered discounted APs in past years.
I have not kept up on their current offerings.

I have same dilemma and was told to activate pass & show proof of FL residency at Disney Springs Guest Services the day before. It’s a hassle, but the thought of fighting for a refund for parking on my vacation doesn’t appeal to me.

We just did this a month ago. We bought our APs from Sam’s Club because they had them at the old price after the price increase but I don’t think they’re still selling them at that price.

We went to Epcot to activate our passes. We paid for parking and then went to a normal ticket counter to activate the APs. It was super easy and she gave us a gift card for the parking charge. We didn’t even have to wait behind anyone. There was a long line at guest services but the ticket counters were wide open

Nobody said it was a "fight" to get a parking refund when activating APs.

Are you going into the park the day you activate? or you're just going to activate? I would do DS, park at Lime Garage and it's a short walk to the ticket center. They have a brand new one with less wait close to the Welcome Center at Town Center

It's not a fight. You walk up to the CM at Guest Services. You give them your receipt and show them the AP and your ID and they refund it. I did it at the Town Hall before we left the park for the day.

Thank you for the info. This will save me lots of time. I’m not used to companies being so accommodating. Thought for sure it would be a hassle. Cheers!

Right- BUT I am going to be there about 6 days. The cost of a 'regular' six day ticket is more than the Florida resident AP that I want! And I wanted to link tickets (or the AP) for FP+ at 60 days.
