I don't know so this is a bump. We've always exchanged ours at a park. If no one answers you, I'd try sending a PM to GoldenOldie. He/she really seems to know everything there is to know about passes.

It's been a few weeks since I posted my questions about APs, but I needed to update as I just spoke to a CM a few minutes ago who gave me conflicting information about where to purchase my AP. Here is the deal:

I just made a 1 night ressie for Sat. March 12 (night before we check into Wilderness Lodge for week) at Pop Century using AP discount rate. She told me that since I have to present my activated annual pass upon check-in, the only place to get it would be the theme parks. Since we are coming into Orlando at night, she said that if I didn't make it to Epcot by closing (this is the latest park that is open), that I would be charged the regular room rate as there is nowhere else to get an activated annual pass. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful (in fact, she is probably the best CM who I have ever spoken with), so I have no reason to doubt her, but according to AllEars & Mousesavers, several other places (Downtown Disney, airport stores, Character warehouses and Ocala center) also sell them, but she said that wasn't the case.

Does anyone know what the correct info is? I just emailed Disney so I'll be sure to post when they send me a response, but in the meantime, I wanted to post to see what you all thought.

If you pre-purchase your pass you will get a voucher and then you you can activate your voucher at guest relations in DTD they are open till 11:00pm or at any themepark entrance.

She might have been very nice but she was also very wrong. First off, Epcot is not the latest place at night where you can get or activate an AP. The two Guest Relations locations at DTD are. She is also very wrong about the other locations not selling AP's.

Sadly, this CM's response demonstrates exactly what I posted in another thread this morning about the reliability of info that comes forth from the people at DRC. Take it with a grain of salt. DRC is wonderful if all you need is to read you back what resort they have reserved for you and how much it will cost. Anything other than that, double check elsewhere.

Allears and Mousesavers are correct and so is scoutsmom99. Most resorts will accept the voucher at check in. Those that don't will give you 24 hours to come back and show them the activated AP before changing your rate.

From what I've heard, they sell activated passes but they do not activate vouchers.
