We are staying offsite next month. Our APs are purchased as well as my parents hopper tickets. Our first park day will be 9-9, but we could go to Disney Springs on 9-8. If we activate our passes 9-8 at Disney Springs, would we be "using" one day if our pass? Or should we wait until the next Morning's park to do that?

Also, we have never had Magic bands and won't receive them for this trip, but are thinking of buying a couple for the rides that need them for pics. I'm assuming they link to the persons ticket. I don't like to ride roller coasters, but my husband and teens do. Should I just buy magic bands for my husband and one teen instead of myself?

1. Yes.
2. It only matters if you think you will actually NEED that "extra day" next year.
3. More or less, yes.
4. You'll only need ONE if that MB can be given to one person in the group in the ride vehicle going on the attraction.
You can just trade the MB around for whomever is riding.

So, if I don't get a FP myself for a rollercoaster, I could still send my MB on the ride while I was elsewhere? As long as my MB wasn't actually scanned as a FP for that ride, it could just ride along?

Back to the AP question, is guest services open before the park opens? Sadly, that extra day will matter on our AP - we usually go later in Sept. for our initial trip, but our 25th anniversary is the 12th so next year's trip is going to have to start in August.
